Uncertain Futures: Clean Water

An endless circle of need. Clean drinking water, denied to one third of the world’s population. Daily queues, multiple containers, patiently waiting in line. 2D in shape, no content, no void to fill, relentless white casting shadows beyond the circle, reaching out, tantalizing yet never satisfying.

Suspended above the circle are six wire water containers representing the daily needs of my family. UN requirement of 20ltr per day per person. They hang precariously, inter-linked and fragile.

Projected through the vessels are ripples of water. Continuous water running through, filling and emptying. A never changing demand, always required. A life giver.

One billion people currently drink unhealthy water.
