I had to leave another comment! I have just rewatched the film words words words, somehow I had forgotten just how mesmeric and sublime the film was, as you would say it is a "complete triumph!"

I like this - it too, may fall off the wall, piece by piece. It also shows how much we all need water, without it we too evaporate and fragment.

To me the spoons are reminiscent of the empty shells of the inhabitants found in Pompeii, where happy lives and safe homes were snuffed out in an instant - or like when our parents die and the parental home is un-plugged and emptied and the contents sold off or thrown away - the solid and forever home, gone, seemingly in a moment. A mature piece.

The boat at 0:48 makes me laugh every time. A simple little film with a very strong message, and a sad and sombre ending.

The immediate revulsion of rotting fish inside colourful children's jelly would normally make us dismiss this piece as contrived, but . . . the visual beauty of the piece, and the artistry which is used in its construction (not to mention the clever little title) seduce us into thinking about the message the artist is trying to put across to us. We forgive it for being ugly because we can see the beauty in it.
